Kim & Rocky 9.13.06

I have been looking forward to Kim & Rocky's wedding ever since their engagement session a few months ago. Like I said then, they are the most down to earth couple and so easy to be around. I felt like Kim and I had so much in common so we hit it off instantly! I hope that we stay in touch!

The beautiful wedding was in Calhoun in the same church that one of her bridesmaid's was married and the reception was at the beautiful home of Jeff & Bettina Briggs.

This wedding reminded me of why I DO what I do and why I LOVE what I do. I get to spend the day with the most amazing couples and all of their friends and family. It's a true blessing to be apart of something so amazing! Thank you Kim & Rocky for letting me document your beautiful day. You are both amazing people and I fell lucky to have met you. I literally just walked in the door from the most amazing wedding! I just couldn't wait to blog some of it! Despite the fact that I am just getting over one of the worst colds I have had in years, I had SO MUCH FUN photographing their wedding! I had Jette second shoot with me which is always so much fun so we got some great shots today! Here are a few of my absolute favorites!

Do what you love

Every weekend I get the opportunity to work with some amazing couples that I probably would have never met if I wasn't living my dream and doing what I love. I feel like there are so many people in the world that either are too afraid to venture out and follow their dreams or feel too secure with the job they have now. You spend countless hours stuck in a job that you don't like. Taking away time from your family, your friends and your life. It is all passing you by and for what? Is what you are doing worth giving up your life for?

Everyone has a dream. To be a chef, the next American Idol or a superhero. My challenge is for you to find a way to start incorporating it into your everyday life. Start small but dream big. Just be the person you were meant to be...

Labor Day 2008

Labor Day is always bittersweet. It's the end of the summer but the beginning of so many more things. The changing leaves, Homemade Apple Pie, the beautiful fall weather. It is my favorite time of year. This weekend we spent the last few official days of summer at my sister's beautiful lake house. We spent our days sitting on the dock or swimming with the kids. Brian and I even went out for a ride in the kayaks. It was a beautiful weekend spent with the people we love most. The whole time we kept talking about how fast the year has gone by. This time last year I was 9 months pregnant with Jonas and my sister was pregnant with her 2nd baby. Now they were here and actually playing together. Jonas is almost a year old and it is still hard for me to believe. He is almost walking and is really growing into the little person he will one day be. So as we all say goodbye to summer, remember that time flies. Before we know it we will be one year older and reminiscing about the past year. Enjoy every moment and always make time to do the things you love and share it with the ones you love.
